Coronavirus Advice from Public Health England

Waddingham Working Together

A Facebook group has been set-up by villagers in Waddingham, to ensure there is a network of support and communication if and when the Coronavirus starts to encroach on our lives.  The latest information is that this virus is already active in the UK with predictions that it will peak in the next few weeks.  When this happens many of us may be asked to self-isolate or be victims of this illness, restricting our ability to undertake normal daily tasks.

Group members are willing to help those that need it, offering to collect Medicines or shopping, walking dogs, or anything that helps to support those affected through a period of incapacity.

If you have the internet join the group, on Facebook Waddingham Working Togetheror the following residents of Waddingham have agreed to be contacted if you need help:

Christine 01673 818103     Jackie 01673 818458

Angela 07904 904049         Wendy 01673 818876

Eileen 07947 239516          Tracey 07701 322655

In order to support our families and wider community, the school is organising a food bank service from school to assist anybody in isolation or struggling to get provisions.  Collection points will be at school, Monday to Friday 8-4pm and the village shop from Monday 23rd March.  Any donations can be deposited and then the food will be bagged and delivered to those who need it.  If you are able to assist by donating food to helping with deliveries please contact the school.  Types of food are tea, coffee, tinned goods, dry goods (e.g. pasta, cereals) and toiletries.  We are unable to accept any perishables.  Thank you for your support.
